Day 13
11th October 2016
Decided to have a sleep in this morning to recover from the big walk yesterday at the Monkey Forest and Trentham Gardens. We got up about 8.30 am and had breakfast of eggs on toast and then collected a massive pile of washing (again) - who keeps wearing all these clothes???
John and I went to the laundrette (will have to take photos one day as this is such an immaculate room that always smells so nice!). The washing took both washers to get it done as there was so much, couldn't believe it, but most of it won't go through the drier so we dried off the stuff that could and brought the rest home to hang around the warm lodge to dry. It's a bit cold today and there has been a bit of rain - not much but enough to keep it cool outside.
We decided that we needed to soak and soothe our limbs a little bit, so booked the pool room for an hour's swimming. Talk about blissful!!! We didn't want to get out, the water was so warm and for the first time since being in England, my feet and legs didn't hurt!!! It did us all the world of good, so talk turned to - "can we put in a pool at home, it would be so good for our arthritic/rheumatic bodies - ha!!!" Well, we'll see about that one!
The deer are hanging around waiting to be fed and I will have to think about food for us a bit later too. The days just whizz by, even when like today we didn't do much more than rest, but tomorrow we have some plans that we are looking forward to, so see you all then.
